For everyone in the area and those who want to visit Weed, California here is a list of events that I as well as the Weed Arts Council will be holding in the near future. All events are to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Hope to see you there!
May 14th - Spelling Bee and Wahnder Lust
That's right, the Weed Arts Council is holding a Spelling Bee at the Black Butte Saloon in Weed! Happy hour is from 4p.m.-6p.m. Spelling Bee will begin at 6p.m. This is a 21+ event and is sure to be a great time! Tickets are currently available through me and the Weed Arts Council. $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Complimentary food will be provided by the Weed Arts Council.
Wahnder Lust will rock the saloon around 9p.m.

The latest and greatest Los Angeles super group has finally arrived, filled to the brim with explosive talent and nearly limitless potential. Featuring Kim Manning and Lantz Lazwell.
Born in Ponca City, Oklahoma, the alluring Kim Manning became a musical sensation through a near decade as a featured vocalist for George Clinton and the P-Funk Allstars. With years of international touring under her belt, her energetic and versatile performances has drawn fans in throughout the world,. Miss Manning has also been seen on television shows as The Grammy Awards, The David Letterman Show, Jay Leno, and VH1’s Flavor of Love. Her magnetic voice can be heard on albums alongside such greats as Snoop Dogg, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and recently Sly Stone.
After quickly becoming an influential force in the local Sacramento, California music scene, Lantz Lazwell relocated to Los Angeles where his career mushroomed to new, burgeoning heights at breakneck speed. Drawing comparisons to Jimi Hendrix, Jack Johnson, and Stevie Wonder, Lazwell took home the LA Music Award for Best Rock Vocalist in 2007, and joined the all-star lineup of Trulio Disgracias which included members of Fishbone, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and his future Wahnder Lust partner, Kim Manning. http://www.wahnderlust.com/home.cfm

June 1st - My departure!
Come join me at the Weed Alehouse and bid me farewell as I begin my bike trip to North Carolina. I will be departing around 11:00a.m.
June 2nd, July 7th, and August 4th - Pickin' For Wishes
The first Thursday of June, July, and August the Weed Arts Council will hold Pickin' For Wishes at the Weed Alehouse. Brewgrass donations will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation as well as Biking For Wishes. Come have a pint, listen to some great music, and help a worthy cause!
